Stephen Loman to watch out for Lineker's power
Stephen Loman of Team Lakay knows what he needs to do to emerge victorious against former ONE bantamweight world champion John Lineker when they meet inside the cage this Saturday at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
Loman, 17-2 as a professional mixed martial artist, knows that he will have to deal with plenty of strikes from Lineker who is known for possessing knockout power in both hands. According to Loman, the first step to victory is making sure that Lineker does not land his shots.
“John Lineker is very dangerous. I have to look for those hands because they can knock you out once it hits you. I will do my best with my striking, I will use that and my movements,” Loman said during the pre-fight virtual press conference.
Sidelined for almost a year, Loman is looking to make a statement this Saturday to give him a shot for the title.
“I will do my best in the fight. A win over John will put me into number one contendership. I am looking forward to this fight,” Loman quipped.
