Lito Adiwang set for ring return in ONE Friday Fights 34

Mixed martial arts fan favorite Lito Adiwang is set to get back to action when he takes on Indonesia’s Adrian Matheis at ONE Friday Fights 34 on September 22 at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Adiwang, 13-5 as a professional mixed martial artist, has not seen action for more than a year after he tore his ACL during his fight with Jeremy Miado in March 2022 where he lost by way of technical knockout.

“I am happy that finally, I can go back inside the ring to continue the dream. I think, if everything works as planned, we will see a more technical Thunder Kid combined with power. I need to show him that there are levels in this game,” Adiwang stated.

Adiwang was one of the several fighters that left Team Lakay this year including former world champions Eduard Folayang, Kevin Belingon, Joshua Pacio, and Honorio Banario. Now training out of HIIT Studio in Bali, the Filipino says he has something new to show on fight night.

“I may be out for more than a year but it only boosted the fire in me to get back in the game and win against whoever they put in front of me. I'm here doing the work and sacrifice to level up my game, improve the things that I need to improve on,” Adiwang shared.

“I will do my very best to win this fight.”
