Alex Eala falls to Australian foe in W25 Aldershot finals

Filipino tennis ace Alex Eala fell short against Australian foe Destanee Aiava, 3-6, 6-4, 6-1, in the final round of the W25 Aldershot tournament in Great Britain on Sunday.

Eala reached the finals after defeating local bet Katy Dunne 1-6, 7-6 (4), 6-3, in the semis on Saturday and American Jenna Defalco, 6-1, 6-2, in the quarters on Friday.

This is her fourth straight ITF playoffs appearance this year since her semifinals exit in the W100 Vitoria-Gasteiz last July, quarterfinals stint in the W60 Barcelona early this month, and winning the title in the W25 Roehampton last week.

Eala currently has two ITF titles for this year alone after getting her first in the W25 Yecla tournament last June.
