V33Wise takes break for MPL PH Season 12 as Blacklist reveals roster

Star jungler Danerie James “Wise” Del Rosario and veteran roamer Johnmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna won't be around when Blacklist International opens its campaign in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 12.

This is as the seasoned duo is set to take a break from competition, the team announced on Thursday in their roster reveal.

With V33Wise out, though, two other stars will return for the Codebreakers as midlaner Salic "Hadji" Imam and gold laner Kiel "OHEB" Soriano are tipped for their comeback after taking a break last season. They will reunite with long-time exp laner Edward "Edward" Dapadap as well as head coach Kristoffer "Bon Chan" Ricaplaza, who also skipped the previous season.

This isn't the first time that V33Wise is taking a break from the professional scene. Back in Season 9, the dynamic duo also decided to skip on the heels of their title run in the M3 world championship in December 2021.

They then returned in Season 10, steering Blacklist back to the throne before bowing to Echo in Season 11 finals and again in the M4 world championship. V33Wise also played a crucial role in Blacklist's MSC 2023 stint, which saw them reach the finals and fall to Indonesian club Onic Esports.

"Now that we’ve announced our official roster for MPL Season 12, we can now also confirm that VeeWise will not be participating in the upcoming season. After the consecutive seasons and tournament grind of MPL S10, M4, MPL S11 and MSC, they wanted to take some time away to recharge and recover," the team said in a Facebook post.

"Though this was not an easy decision for them to make, we believe this is what’s best for them as players and individuals. They have the full support of their Blacklist International and Tier One Entertainment family, both in-game and out."
