Danny Kingad to face Chinese puncher at ONE Fight Night 15

Former world title challenger Danny Kingad will figure in his second bout this year when he takes on the hard-hitting Hu Yong of China on the undercard of ONE Fight Night 15 on October 7 at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Kingad, 15-3 as a professional mixed martial artist, is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Eko Roni Saputra last February and is currently ranked the no.3 flyweight in the world by ONE Championship.

"I’m excited. I know Hu Yong is a very skilled and dangerous fighter, so I’m doing everything to prepare for him and what he plans to do," said Kingad.

Hu, meanwhile, is 11-4 as a professional and is known by Filipino MMA fans for knocking out Kingad's teammate and former ONE flyweight world champion Geje Eustaquio last December at the Mall of Asia Arena.

According to Kingad, a win over Hu could get him to challenge for a world title anew.

"The goal is to get back into world title contention, and I know that another win here would put me in a good position to chase for the belt," he stated.
