Carlos Alvarez cops another win at ONE Friday Fights

Featherweight prospect Carlos Alvarez of Team Lakay added another win to his perfect record following a second-round submission over Sadegh Ghasemi on the undercard of ONE Friday Fights 25 on Friday, July 14, at the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

The 24-year-old Alvarez showcased his well-roundedness as he mixed his strikes and takedown attempts against the overmatched Ghasemi. 

In round two, Alvarez got the fight to the ground anew after an exchange of strikes. While on the mat, the Filipino mixed martial arts fighter locked in a D’arce choke to force a tap at the 1:23 mark of the stanza.

The win improved Alvarez’s flawless professional record to 3-0 with all of his wins coming by way of submission.
