Carlos Yulo wins vault, parallel bars gold medals in Asian Gymnastics Championships
Filipino Olympian and gymnast Carlos Yulo won two more gold medals in the Asian Artistic Gymnastics Championships on Sunday in Singapore.
Yulo topped the men's vault finals after scoring 14.299, with Uzbekistan's Abdulaziz Mirvaliev finishing second with 14.083 and South Korea's Jaeho Kim placing third with 13.766.
The 23-year old gymnast also reigned in the parallel bars finals with a score of 15.266, with Japan's Shinnosuke Oka scoring 15.133 and China's Dehang Yin having 15.100 to finish second and third, respectively.
In the high bar finals, Yulo scored 14.533 and placed third behind China's Hao Tian (14.533) and Japan's Oka (14.366) to claim the bronze medal.
In total, Yulo had five medals from this year's Asian championships, with another gold from the floor exercise on Saturday and the all-around silver last Thursday.
Yulo is also bound for the World Gymnastics Championships in Antwerp in September.
