Blacklist International clinches MSC semis berth with sweep of Turkey bet

PHNOM PENH — Blacklist International flexed its might anew, sweeping Fire Flux Impunity, 3-0, in the quarterfinals of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup (MSC) 2023 on Thursday here.

The Codebreakers arranged a semifinals duel against home bet Burn x Flash, which earlier pulled off a similar 3-0 sweep over RSG Singapore with Filipino import Donut leading the way.

It was a breezy win for the Philippine team in Game 1, which saw mid laner Kenneth "Yue" Tadeo unleash a maniac at the 9:57 mark on his Valentina. But a flawless 5/0/9 KDA from Edward "Edward" Dapadap (Lapu-Lapu) earned him the MVP honors.

It was a different scenario in Game 2 as the Turkish squad had the advantage early on. But the Codebreakers pulled off the win to secure a commanding 2-0 lead behind the heroics of Lee "Owl" Gonzales (Beatrix).

The M3 world champions then showed their usual form in Game 3 to eliminate FIMP, the only non-Southeast Asian team left in the tournament prior to the loss.
