Filipina jins deliver gold in women’s recognized team poomsae in Cambodia SEAG


Filipinas Jocel Lyn Ninobla, Aidaine Laxa, and Nicole Labayne delivered a gold medal for the Philippines in the women’s recognized team poomsae event of the 32nd Southeast Asian Games’ taekwondo competitions on Friday.

The Philippines notched a score of 108.5 to rule the event ahead of Malaysia at 108.0. Vietnam and Thailand both finished with scores of 107.5.

Ninobla won gold in the previous two editions of the SEA Games in the women’s recognized individual event. She and Laxa also picked up a silver medal in the women's team event alongside teammate Rinna Babanto in the 2019 games held in Manila.

This was the 29th gold medal for the Philippines in the Cambodia SEA Games and the second of the day after Agatha Wong’s gold medal in wushu earlier today.
