Women's soft tennis team captures Philippines' 25th Cambodia SEAG gold
The Philippine women's soft tennis team on Tuesday captured the country's 25th gold medal in the 32nd Southeast Asian Games.
The team of Christy Sañosa, Princess Catindig, Virvienica Bejosano, and Fatima Amir, defeated Indonesia, 3-0, in the finals of the women's soft tennis event.

Meanwhile, the men's team of Joseph Arcilla, Dheo Talatayod, Mark Alcoseba, George Mendoza, Sherwin Nuguit, and Adjuthor Moralde claimed bronze from the said event.

This is the country's sixth gold medal today following three from Ivan Cruz, Juancho Miguel Besana, and Carlos Yulo of gymnastics, Janry Ubas of athletics, and Teia Salvino of swimming.
The Philippines also had eight silver medals today with one from chess ouk chaktrang's Shania Mendoza, one from Carlos Yulo in the men's still rings event, two from aquatics, and four from athletics.
On top of the men's soft tennis bronze, seven more bronze medals were also claimed today with one from chess ouk chatrang men's doubles Paulo Bersamina and Jan Emmanuel Garcia, one from petanque women's doubles Maria Corazon Soberre and April Alarcon, one from vovinam women's 50kg Aime Ramos, two from swimming, and two from athletics.
In other sports, boxers Irish Magno and Riza Pasuit advanced to the gold medal match after dispatching their semifinals opponents. Magno won via unanimous decision over Indonesia's Novita Sinadia in the women's 54kg event, while Pasuit won 4-1 against Singapore's Nur Sabrina Faizal in the women's 63 kg event.
The Philippine women's volleyball team, on the other hand, made quick work of Cambodia, 25-5, 25-5, 25-5.
As of writing, the country has 25 gold medals, 39 silver medals, and 42 bronze medals.
