Cycling, kun bokator, vovinam add medals to Philippines' SEAG haul


Cycling and combat sports added more medals to the Philippines' haul in the 32nd Southeast Asian Games on Monday in Cambodia.

Cycling's Ariana Dormitorio claimed a silver in the women's mountain bike (eliminate), while Indonesia's Dara Latifah placed first, and Malaysia's Warinthorn Phetpraphan claimed third.

Kun bokator claimed bronze medals from Phillip Delarmino (men's combat 60 kg), Ryan Jakiri (men's combat 65 kg), Godwin Langbayan (men's combat 70kg), and Mitz Jalandoni (women's single phkak form).

 

 

 

 

 

The men's and women's bare hands team of the Philippines in kun bokator also claimed bronze. The men's team is composed of Zandro Jizmundo, James El Mayagma, and Rick Rod Ortega, while the female squad is formed by Shara Jizmundo, Jessa dela Cruz, and Angel Derla.

Meanwhile, vovinam's Jerome Alidon also claimed a bronze in the men's 55 kg event.

 

 

As of writing, the Philippines has 15 gold medals, 21 silver medals, and at least 24 bronze medals, according to the biennial meet's tally.
