Denice Zamboanga wins decision over Mezabarba at ONE Fight Night 9

Filipina mixed martial artist Denice Zamboanga scored a convincing unanimous decision victory over Julie Mezabarba on the undercard of ONE Fight Night 9 this Saturday morning at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Zamboanga, the no. 3 rated ONE women’s atomweight in the world, dictated the tempo throughout, repeatedly landing her right hand and hurting her Brazilian foe with it over the course of the three five-minute round contest.

Zamboanga got the better of the grappling scrambles too, leading all three judges to score the fight in her favor to improve her professional mixed martial arts record 10-2. Mezabarba, meanwhile, suffered her third straight loss at ONE dropping her record to 9-5.
