ABAP president Ed Picson passes away

Association of Boxing Alliances in the Philippines (ABAP) president and longtime sports personality Ed Picson has passed away on Wednesday.

ABAP chairman Ricky Vargas confirmed the news to GMA Integrated News, saying Picson passed away late this morning.

Picson has been a household name in the sports industry. He was elected the boxing chief late in 2021 after having served as executive director and secretary general for the national sports association.

Picson was also known for being a former play-by-play anchor for the Philippine Basketball Association.

"He is a good man," said Vargas in a brief message.
