Eugene Torre opens chess museum in the Philippines
The Eugene Torre Chess Museum is now open in Marikina City, Philippines.
As seen on Chino Trinidad's report on "24 Oras," the museum includes priceless memorabilia of the Filipino chess icon's trophies, medals, photos, and more.
Torre is Asia's first grandmaster and a World Chess Hall of Famer.
Torre, 71, offered this advice for chess players: ''Yung natutunan natin at ina-apply sa chess board, sana i-apply din natin sa buhay at parati nating hinahanap ng mga best moves."
Admission to the museum is free.
The Eugene Torre Chess Museum is located at the Pan de Amerikana restaurant, along Gen. Ordoñez, Barangay Concepcion Dos, Marikina City.
The museum is open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays to Sundays.
