Bren Esports faces busy schedule as it banners Sibol national team in IESF
Bren Esports, the league-leading squad in MPL Philippines Season 11, is looking at a busy schedule ahead as its core will headline the Sibol national team in the 2023 International Esports Federation (IESF) World Esports Championship this July in Romania.
Sibol on Monday announced the final roster bannered by Bren's main five Angelo “Pheww” Arcangel, Kyle “KyleTzy” Sayson, David Charles “FlapTzy” Canon, Rowgien “Owgwen” Unigo, and Marco “Super Marco” Requitano.
Completing the roster is GameLab’s Jan Bradford “XBOCT” Amande with coach Francis “Ducky” Glindro calling the shots.
The IESF is just among the couple of tournaments lined up for Bren as it will also represent the Philippines in the upcoming 32nd Southeast Asian Games in Phnom Penh, Cambodia this May. They are also currently atop the team standings in the MPL, where at least a finals appearance will give them a ticket to the ML:BB Southeast Asia Cup (MSC) also in Cambodia in June.
Bren will look to redeem the country's campaign in IESF where the Blacklist International-led crew settled for a silver medal in the previous edition falling to Indonesia in December 2022.
