Isabella Gamez, Alexander Korovin finish 18th in World Figure Skating Championships

Isabella Gamez and Alexander Korovin finished 18th in pairs skating at the 2023 ISU World Figure Skating Championships in Japan.
Gamez and Korovin had a score of 93.78 in the free skate and placed 18th among 20 competitors.
The pair had a total score of 147.07 after getting 53.29 in the short program on Tuesday.
Japanese pair Riku Miura and Ryuichi Kihara topped the pairs with 222.16 while USA's Alexa Knierim and Brandon Frazier scored 217.48 to finish second. Italy's Sara Conti and Niccolo Macii tallied 208.08 to place third.
The duo of Gamez and Korovin is the first Philippine and Southeast Asian skating pair to compete in the World Championships.
