The state of the country's premier mixed martial arts stable Team Lakay continued to shift as former ONE strawweight world champion Joshua Pacio also left the team, following earlier announcements from Eduard Folayang, Kevin Belingon, and Honorio Banario.
Though he has yet to make an official announcement, a source has confirmed to GMA Integrated News that Pacio has already left the camp as well.
On Belingon and Banario's announcements, Team Lakay head coach Mark Sangiao left replies wishing the departing fighters well, while also mentioning Pacio among the names.
Pacio, 20-4 as a professional mixed martial artist, is Team Lakay’s longest reigning ONE world champion in its history and is touted by fans and scribes alike as the greatest strawweight in ONE Championship history.
He has recently posted videos on social media training, but not at the Team Lakay gym in Pico, La Trinidad.
On Friday, former ONE lightweight world champion Eduard Folayang, touted as the face of Philippine mixed martial arts, announced that he has parted ways with Team Lakay after sixteen years. Belingon and Banario also posted about leaving the team on Saturday.
