Blacklist's Wise confident ahead of M4 grand finals; says 'many things will happen next season'

JAKARTA — When Blacklist International ruled the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang M3 World Championship in December 2021, the royal duo of Johnmar "OhMyV33nus" Villaluna and Danerie James "Wise" Del Rosario opted to take a break after a busy campaign leading up to the global competition.

Known as the 'V33Wise" duo, they skipped MPL Philippines Season 9 where the Codebreakers had a dismal outing as they finished at seventh spot.

But they returned to competition when the Blacklist-bannered national team represented the country in the 31st SEA Games, delivering the gold medal by defeating Indonesia. With a ticket to the M4 at stake, V33Wise also made their MPL PH comeback and steered Blacklist to the Season 10 title as they found their way back to the world stage.

And they have been living up to the expectations so far, reaching the Grand Finals and sitting only a win away from historic back-to-back titles.

And Wise's confidence is at a high, admitting that he is feeling more than 100-percent confident after they escaped compatriot Echo in the upper bracket finals to set up a chance to win a second consecutive M-series championship.

"Malakas naman talaga 'yung Echo pero feeling ko kami pa rin 'yung mas lamang ngayon. Sana magtuloy-tuloy (Echo is really strong, but I just feel we have the advantage right now. I hope that continues)," Wise said on Friday.

"Of course I'm confident because I'm the only one who doesn't use assassins and yet here I am. Even if I have a choice to become 1,000 percent confident, I am that confident."

Wise is not looking too far ahead from this current tournament, with plans for the post-M4 future not entirely certain yet.

"It depends on Blacklist. I cannot say yet but there's one thing for sure, many things will happen in next season," he said.
