Why didn't OhMyV33nus use M3 champion skin on Estes vs RRQ Akira? The Blacklist captain explains
JAKARTA — Johnmar "OhMyV33nus" Villaluna was able to use her trademark hero Estes thrice in Blacklist International's 3-1 victory over RRQ Akira of Brazil in their opening match in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang M4 World Championship knockout stage on Sunday in Jakarta, Indonesia.
OhMyV33nus picked Estes in games one, three, and four while she drafted Diggie in the second game.
But in none of those games did the veteran roamer use the special M3 champion skin that they got by ruling the previous edition of world championships in December 2021.
And OhMyV33nus explained just why.
She stressed her favorite skin to begin with was the Galaxy Dominator, which she has been using regularly in local and international tournaments. OhMyV33nus led their UBE strategy in Game 1 with a perfect 1/0/13 KDA while being steady in the next few games to help steer the Philippine squad.
"Before kasi, out of all the skin sa Mobile Legends, 'yung Galaxy Dominator talaga 'yung pinaka-favorite skin ko (Since before, out of all the skins in Mobile Legends, the Galaxy Dominator was always my favorite skin)," OhMyV33nus said in the post-game interview following the victory.

With OhMyV33nus deciding to go with Estes, the Codebreakers destroyed RRQ Akira in four games to advance to the upper bracket semifinals and arrange a duel with Indonesian powerhouse RRQ Hoshi.
She also shared that not using the M3 skin was their way of changing their mindset to not think about the fact that they are the defending champions in the world conclave.
"And ayoko kasing maglaro na ang mindset namin is kami 'yung defending champion (And I didn't want us to play with the mindset that we are defending champion)."
