Coach Mundo's Occupy Thrones goes winless in two games; RRQ Hoshi, The Valley split matches
The second day of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang M4 World Championship didn't exactly go well for other Filipinos seeing action in the tournament.
Occupy Thrones, who is coached by a Filipino mentor in Ameniel "Mundo" Del Mundo, absorbed two losses in as many games to drop to a 0-2 slate in Group C.
The Egyptian team bowed to RSG Singapore before falling to powerhouse RRQ Hoshi of Indonesia.
Meanwhile, RRQ Hoshi and The Valley, both of which have Filipino representatives in their roster, split their respective games for the day.
RRQ has a Filipino tactician in Michael "Arcadia" Bocado, who was elevated as the head coach for their M4 campaign after serving as the team's analyst.
The King of Kings fell to a Philippine team after an upset loss to Echo to wrap up their opening day with a 1-1 record.
North American team The Valley also had a similar 1-1 record today after dominating S11 Gaming while losing to RRQ Akira from Brazil.
The Valley, whose core is composed of the now-defunct BTK squad, also features Filipino players in Peter "Basic" Lozano and Chris Amiel "Mielow" Enobio.
Echo and RSG currently lead Group C with 1-0 records.
