Jeremy Pacatiw gets $50k bonus with submission win, Drex Zamboanga beats Sevilleno
Hard-hitting bantamweight Jeremy Pacatiw is going home with a win and a pocket full of cash following a second-round submission over Tial Thang at ONE 164 this Saturday at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Both fighters came out with bad intentions in the opening round, throwing combinations that found its mark. In round two, Pacatiw came out swinging that made his foe try to grapple.
However, while on the mat, Pacatiw caught Thang with a triangle choke that forced a tap at the 1:17 mark of round two. He improved his record to 12-5 and received a $50,000 bonus for his performance.
Team Lakay's newest member Adonis Sevilleno, meanwhile, lost a hard-fought contest with his fellow Filipino Drex Zamboanga.
Both fighters demonstrated excellent skills on the feet and the mat, but it was Zamboanga who walked away with a unanimous decision nod after three five minute rounds.
