Margielyn Didal 'will be back soon' after surgery for left ankle fracture
Filipino Olympian and skateboarder Margielyn Didal is on the road to recovery after undergoing surgery for a left ankle fracture.
Didal on Saturday said the injury was from a skating competition the Olympian joined last week.
"2 days ago, I was skating Red Bull Skate Level but unfortunately s— happens," Didal wrote in an Instagram post.
"I dislocated and fractured my left ankle but last night got a successful surgery."
Didal, while thanking for prayers from supporters, said it is also important to 'listen to the body.'
"I know it's part of the game but also it's a lesson to learn that you have to listen/feel your body and learn to have a break/rest," said DIdal. "I'll be out for a bit but I'll be back soon."
