KarlTzy displays growth in leading Echo to first-ever playoff win in franchise history

After winning the MVP in the M2 World Championship, Karl "Karltzy" Nepomuceno seemed to spiral down over the next three seasons, including a disastrous Season 8 where he missed the playoffs for the first time in his career.

Known for his assassin picks, KarlTzy took some time to adjust to the ever-evolving meta of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and was even criticized by fans in Season 9 for not adjusting to the potent jungling emblem which many considered as the reason for Echo to finish 5th-6th.

But come Season 10, KarlTzy widened his hero pool with the addition of tank junglers to his repertoire and spearheaded Echo to a season-best 10-4 win-loss record and displaying solid performance in their 3-1 conquest of defending champion RSG Philippines in the playoffs.

"Nag-aadjust na ako sa team ko di kagaya dun (sa Bren) na parang nasa isip ko lang na magbubuhat ako ganyan," he said when asked about the "new KarlTzy".

In their final four series across RSG, KarlTzy picked Akai in the opener to counter Jonard Cedrix “Demonkite” Caranto's Fanny pick that proved crucial in the win.

His prowess will once again be tested tomorrow as they try to battle for a spot in the M4 World Championship in the upper bracket finals.
