RSG survives Blacklist in a back-and-forth 2-1 thriller
RSG Philippines successfully avenged their first round loss to Blacklist International via a 2-1 squeaker in the final week of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 10 on Sunday.
The raiders though missed on the outright upper bracket opportunity after conceding Game 2. They now just have a maximum possible points of 25 with third place as their best possible finish in the regular season.
RSG played a perfect opening game, taking the first two pick offs of the match then leaning on Arvie "Aqua" Antonio (Faramis) and Eman "EMANN" Sangco (Karrie), who each scored a double kill during the 7th minute team fight, to force a 5-0 sweep and wrestle control.
Nathanael "Nathzz" Estrologo (Yu Zhong) then superbly zoned out two Blacklist members during the 13th minute lord fight for a double kill to lead RSG's 3-0 wipe.
Blacklist just didn't have any answer from there as RSG completed a 14-0 shutout in a 14-minute victory, with EMANN finishing with a monster 7-0-5 KDA.
The M3 World champions, though, turned the tables around in Game 2 as they banked on Salic "Hadji" Imam's (Yve) early game exploits to establish an 8-1 kill lead late in the 5th minute. Hadji was already on a 5-0-3 KDA tear at that point.
Blacklist did not waste time in securing the Game 2 victory with Hadji once again scoring a double kill in a 5-2 wipeout early in the 12th minute to force the extension, 1-1.
The series once again turned 180 in Game 3 as Jonard Cedrix "Demonkite" Caranto (Karina) went on rampage. He led a 2-0 skirmish during the 2nd minute turtle fight then scored a triple kill in the 5th minute to lead RSG's 9-0 kill dominance over Blacklist.
RSG quickly scored the finisher early in the 14th minute with a massive 19-4 lead on the kill tally.
Demonkite completed his impressive performance with 7-1-6 KDA.
