MPL Cambodia: Zico, Hesa's Burn x Flash through to final four

Burn x Flash, coach by Filipino John Michael "Zico" Dizon, completed a 3-1 reverse sweep of Team Max in the quarterfinals of the the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Cambodia Autumn Split 2022 on Sunday.

The squad interestingly decided to bench Filipino goldlaner Jhonwin "Hesa" Vergara in the opener enabling Team Max to take the lead.

"I just tried if we can fight with Fury kasi merong qualifiers ulit for IESF play-in," the coach explained.

During the Cambodia IESF qualifiers, Team Flash fell to See You Soon in the grandfinals but the latter failed to secure the lone spot in the Southeast Asian qualifiers leading to another local qualifiers before the main tournament in December.

With Hesa taking over in Game 2, Team Flash started to dominate the opposition and completed wire-to-wire victories.

The former Nexplay Evos goldlaner was a force to be reckoned as he closed out the series with an immaculate 5-0-6 KDA on Beatrix to lead Team Flash's 16-6 domination on the kill tally.

Team Flash will next face former champion See You Soon in the semi-finals but will have ample time to prepare.

"Given that there's another 12 days preparation (before the semis), we can try something new and polish our gameplay more," said Coach Zico.

They will be banking on their impressive 3-2 win against SYS last Sept 11 when they ruled WPML tournament.
