EJ Obiena returns to the Philippines after 3 years in Italy
After staying in Italy for almost three years, EJ Obiena is finally home in the Philippines.
The Filipino Olympian and pole vaulter returned to Manila on Thursday, according to a report by Balitanghali.
Obiena said he plans to rest while in the Philippines after his recent podium finishes, where he even defeated the likes of Armand Duplantis and Chris Nilsen in competitions.
"After three years of not being back home, I think I need some time off, some rest," Obiena said.

The Asian record holder in pole vault also said that after his vacation, he will focus more on things that will bring pride to the country.
