Zico leads Burn x Flash to WPML title in Cambodia, hopes to build momentum for MPL KH playoffs

Over the weekend, Filipino coach John "Zico" Dizon piloted Burn x Flash to the WOWNOW & Prince Mall League (WPML) title besting two former MPL Cambodia champions to deliver a statement win, barely a week before the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Cambodia Autumn Split 2022 playoff starts.

"This tournament yung naging statement na rin namin para makita ng lahat na contender kami," coach Zico told GMA News Online.

("This tournament is where we made the statement so that everyone can see we are a contender.")

"Ayaw namin bigyan pa ng confidence yung See You Soon at Impunity KH kaya nilaban talaga namin and we will definitely try harder to improve in contrast to our performance yesterday."

With Filipino goldlaner Jhonwin "Hesa" Vergara in tow, Zico led Team Flash to a gruelling 3-2 win over MPL Cambodia Spring 2022 champion Impunity KH in the grandfinals to win the tournament title participated by five top teams from the MPL KH.

During the semifinals, they also took down MPL Cambodia Season 1 champoon See You Soon via a similar 3-2 conquest.

Team Flash will open their MPL Cambodia Autumn Split 2022 playoff campaign on September 18 against Team Max.
