UFC veteran Elias Theodorou dies from cancer at 34

Former UFC mixed martial arts veteran Elias Theodorou has died from cancer at 34 years according to multiple reports.

Theodorou, 19-3 as a professional mixed martial arts fighter, competed in the world’s premier MMA organization from 2014 to 2019 where he compiled a UFC record of 8-3.

In 2019, Theodorou was surprisingly released from the UFC after he suffered a unanimous decision loss against Derek Brunson.

He fought and won three more times after parting ways with the UFC, the last one being just in December 2021 when he defeated Bryan Baker by unanimous decision.

Known for being an advocate of medical cannabis, Theodorou became the first MMA fighter to receive a therapeutic use exemption for it in January 2020.
