MPL Indonesia: Kairi's Onic wrestles top spot; Markyyyyy splits

Week 5 of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Indonesia went wild with former league leaders Evos Legends and RRQ Hoshi taking the fall while Filipino imports continued to score wins.

Kairi leads Onic to conquest of contenders Aura, RRQ

Kairi "Kairi" Rayosdelsol was the biggest feature of Week 5 in MPL ID as the Filipino import displayed phenomenal prowess in leading Onic Esports to a 2-0 sweep of RRQ Hoshi and a 2-1 escape against Aura Fire.

With two wins in Week 5, Onic took over the top spot in the standings with a 7-2 record.

In their series against RRQ, Kairi dominated with his assassin picks via a perfect 4-0-9 KDA on Julian then an 8-3-3 KDA on Fanny.

Against Aura Fire, Kairi played with urgency during the rubber match as he danced his way to another perfect 3-0-4 KDA in the dominant close out victory. 

Coach Vren, Markyyyyy scores win No. 2

After suffering from a 2-0 sweep at the hands of powerhouse RRQ Hoshi, Filipino import Coach Vrendon "Vren" Lin finally scored his second win in the league with Marky “Markyyyyy” Capacio providing solid performance in their Bigetron Alpha squad's 2-1 conquest of Rebellion Genflxi.

Markyyyyy continued to show flexibility with multiple hero picks all season long.

He first took a 4-2-4 KDA on Melissa during the opening win then went unscathed in a dominant Game 3 victory, finishing with a 1-0-11 KDA with Claude.

Bigetron Alpha Alpha sits 6th with a 3-6 card but inched closer to the 5th spot after Geek Fam Indonesia, featuring Filipino imports Allen "Baloyskie" Baloy and Jaymark "Janaaqt" Lazaro, swept Alter Ego on Saturday.
