TNC barges into win column, snaps Onic's four-game winstreak

TNC snapped a five-game losing skid and took down league-leading Onic Philippines via a dominant 2-0 sweep in Week 4 of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines on Friday.

It was a battle of David and Goliath as TNC had yet to register a series win this season while Onic had been on a tear, leading the league with 13pts, before suffering from their first loss via sweep this season.

TNC opened the series with urgency, relying on their textbook game play to take a 4-0 kill spread by the 4th minute and maintain the lead all throughout.

They conceded their first death only during a 13th minute base turret aggression but shrugged off the unfavorable 1-2 exchange to secure the luminous lord and take the opener at the 16th minute mark.

The story was pretty much the same as TNC leaned on their smooth macro transitions, starting off with a 1st minute first blood by Daniel “SDzyz” Chu (Balmond) set the tone for the whole match.

As if to celebrate his team's reincarnation, Ben “Benthings” Maglaque (Chou) executed a Jeet Kune Do + Flicker and Way of the Dragon set-up in a 13th minute inhibitor turret initiation that sparked a 2-0 pick off to complete the sweep.

TNC only conceded one death in a dominant Game 2 performance.
