Omega sustains early season success with sweep of NXPE for win No. 4

Omega Esports showed how to get things done as they emerged on top of crucial team fights in the series against Nexplay Evos to score a 2-0 sweep in Week 3 of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 10 on Friday.

The 2021 MSC champions managed to force a tie for league leadership with Onic Philippines, who swept Blacklist International earlier in the day. The two leaders will dispute solo lead with a fated match tomorrow.

Omega played a disciplined Game 1 leading to a 7-2 kill lead off a 9th minute lord fight.

But they had to clutch their way through a lengthy 18th minute team fight to score a 5-0 shutout and pull ahead, 1-0.

Dean Christian “Raizen” Sumagui (Baxia) led the way with a perfect 4-0-8 KDA.

Game 2 went down the wire as Omega recovered from a 22-10 kill deficit in the 22nd minute and implemented nifty mind games deep in the late game to hold on despite losing all inhibitor turrets.

Omega finally found their chance in the 36th monute when they isolated James “Jeymz” Gloria (Esmeralda) in the bottom lane then used Renz “Renzio” Cadua's (Fredrinn) sacrifice to complete a 3-0 wipe and make their way to the enemy base turret.

With the squad still intact, Omega overwhelmed NXPE's last two defenders to complete the sweep.
