By BEA MICALLER, GMA News
Alex Eala had another semifinal exit as she suffered a 2-6, 6-3, 2-6 loss to hometown bet Eva Guerrero Alvarez of Spain to formally bow out of contention in the W25 El Espinar/Segovia on Friday night in Spain.
Eala, 17, cruised to her second consecutive final four exit as she also stumbled against French Jessika Ponchet in the semifinals of the W60 Vitoria-Gasteiz last week.
Guerrero Alvarez, meanwhile, will face Mirra Andreeva of Russia, who was also successful in dispatching her semifinal foe, Diana Marcinkevica of Latvia.
En route to the semis, the no. 4 seeded Eala defeated Rosa Vicens Mas of Spain in the quarterfinals, Amy Zhu of the United States in the second round, and Maria Bondareko of Russia in the opener.
