Lyceum goes for gold as CCE Mobile Legends playoffs kick off Monday

Coming off an unbeaten preliminary round campaign, Lyceum of the Philippines University will look to win it all in the inaugural Collegiate Center for Esports (CCE) Mobile Legends tourney as the playoff round kicks off on Monday.

Lyceum swept all the games in the elimination round with an immaculate 9-0 card and they would want nothing less than the title, capping off a stellar run that also saw them dominate the Varsity Cup.

Lyceum will first take on Arellano University in their 11 a.m. tussle at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall while College of Saint Benilde and Mapua University collide at 1 p.m. Second-seed San Sebastian College-Recoletos takes on Emilio Aguinaldo College at 3 p.m. to be followed by rivals San Beda and Letran going at it at 5 p.m.

All games will be in a best-of-three format with the four winners advancing to the next phase in the upper bracket playoffs. Losers, meanwhile, can still fight for their bids in the lower bracket.

The playoffs will run until Tuesday before the championship round unfurls on Thursday.
