Judo gets first gold in Hanoi SEA Games
The Philippine judokas made their contribution to the national team's gold medal collection in the 31st Southeast Asian Games in Hanoi, Vietnam.
On Thursday, Rena Furukawa bagged the country's first gold medal from judo as she ruled the women's -57 kg event.
Furukawa defeated Myanmar's representative Chu Myat Noe Wai in the finals of their weight division.

Aside from Furakuwa, judoka Keisei Nakano also added to the country's medal haul as he settled for silver against Indonesia's Iksan Apriyadi in the men's -73 kg.
