Efren 'Bata' Reyes assured of at least bronze medal in Vietnam SEA Games

At 67, Efren "Bata" Reyes continues to defy time.

The legendary cue artist has assured himself of at least a bronze medal after beating Thailand's Suriya Suwannasingh to barge into the semifinals of the men's one-cushion carom event in the Vietnam SEA Games on Monday.

Reyes, a multi-time medalist in the biennial meet, drew a 65-58 victory over his Thai opponent in the quarterfinals held at the Ha Dong Gymnasium.

Reyes won a bronze medal in the same event when the country hosted the 2019 edition here.
