TNC roamer Benthings executes superb Iron Hook on girlfriend's heart with surprise proposal

In front of the huge crowd awaiting the start of the grand finals match between RSG Philippines and Omega Esports, Ben "Benthings" Maglaque became the center of attention as he made do with his promise of a proposal to nine-year girlfriend Dayen Bello.

Before the playoffs, Benthings has declared on the MPL teasers that he will propose to his girlfriend if TNC Pro Team qualifies for the MLBB Southeast Asian Cup in Malaysia this year.

Despite coming up short with a 3-0 loss to Omega Esports earier today, Benthings still went with his plan and popped the question to his girlfriend on stage in the MPL Philippines.

"Hindi ko pala kailangan makapunta sa international, makapag-grand finals para i-secure ka," he said.

"Dayen Bello may gusto sana akong itanong sa 'yo. Ikaw 'yung trophy ko," he said. Gusto mo ba akong samahan hanggang sa pagtanda natin?"

She said yes, to the delight of the MPL fans in the audience.

Benthings also thanked her for supporting him in his esports career.

"Nung nag-umpisa pa akong mag-ML, nung una hindi mo ako sinuportahan," he said. "Naintidihan naman kita kasi parang magulang kita eh na gusto mo sa mapapabuti ako. Pero in-explain ko naman sayo na kaya ko dito makapag pro."

"Thank you sa laging pag suporta sa akin."
