MPL Philippines Season 9 casters to nominate regular season MVP candidates

The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines is tweaking the rules for the selection of regular season's Most Valuable Player in Season 9.

On Tuesday, the local pro league announced that every caster will be given the chance to nominate up to three MVP candidates based on given criteria, including that such player's team is among the top two clubs in the regular season.

A nominee should also have won weekly MVP honors or had excellent player data during the regular season and should have committed no serious violations.

The three nominees will be ranked from 1 to 3, with 1 being the highest. The top player will receive five points, and rank two and three players will receive three and one point, respectively.

The player who will get the highest accumulative points will be hailed the Regular Season MVP with the announcement taking place on April 12.

Currently, MPL Philippines has completed seven weeks in the regular season with the eighth and last week coming in from April 8 to 10. RSG Philippines and Echo occupy the first two spots followed by TNC at third.

Last season, Salic "Hadji" Imam of Blacklist International was hailed as the regular season MVP.
