Stephen Loman looks to improve some more after latest win at ONE: X

Former Brave CF bantamweight champion Stephen Loman of Baguio City's Team Lakay only hopes to be a better prizefighter the next time he steps inside the cage.

Loman, 26, registered his second victory in ONE Championship following a unanimous decision nod over Japanese veteran Shoko Sato at ONE: X on Saturday at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

"He sees my punches so it was difficult for me because I was not able to get my range and proper distance. He tagged me when we traded strikes. I felt his power, he is rangy and had me hit on the jaw," said Loman.

Prior to beating Sato, Loman came off a two-year layoff before toppling Yusup Saadulaev via first-round technical knockout last December. As far as the top 3 ONE bantamweight is concerned, going the distance actually did him good.

"I am very happy [to go the distance] then win the fight," Loman said.

"This gives me the chance to move up in the rankings and compete with the best fighters out there. But this is a very tough sport, I have to keep training to hone my skills and correct my mistakes."
