WWE Hall of Famer Scott Hall passes away

World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Hall of Famer Scott Hall passed away at the age of 63.

WWE announced his passing on Tuesday.

"WWE is saddened to learn that two-time WWE Hall of Famer Scott Hall has passed away," the entertainment company said in its statement.

Hall, who was initially known by his character Razor Ramon, joined the WWE in 1992 and was a four-time Intercontinental Champion. He was a popular part of the era known as WWE's New Generation, alongside the likes of Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels.

Prior to his WWE stint, he joined World Championship Wrestling (WCW) in 1991 as The Diamond Studd.

He rejoined WCW in 1996 and joined Kevin Nash and Hulk Hogan to form the hugely influential faction, the New World Order (nWo), which played a major part in a boom period for the professional wrestling industry known as the Monday Night Wars.

Hall was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as an individual in 2014 and as a member of the nWo in 2020, making him a two-time Hall of Famer.

It had been reported that he had recently been hospitalized after breaking his hip and had to undergo hip replacement surgery.
