NXPE scores its first MPL PH S9 win with sweep of ONIC PH

Nexplay Evos bounced back from their opening day loss with an impressive 2-0 sweep of M3 World Championship runners-up Onic Philippines in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 9 on Sunday.

The Dogie-led squad showed grit and promise with the additions of Kenneth ‘CADENZA” Castro (roamer) and Michael “MP the King” Endino (jungler). Both delivered key contributions for NXPE in the sweep.

NXPE easily controlled Game 1 owing to a 3-1 exchange in a 7th minute turtle fight followed by another 3-1 wipe during an 8th minute top lane clash.

The crowd favorites scored a timely pick off on Allen “Baloyskie” Baloy (Valentina) in the 16th minute to secure the luminous lord and easily take the opener, 1-0.

In Game 2, both teams refused to engage early on but NXPE slowly built a 7k gold lead by the 11th minute with superior macro strategies despite trailing 3-4 in the kill tally.

NXPE then used a luminous lord take in the 13th minute to make a successful base turret push to complete the sweep, 2-0.
