'Super team' Echo sweeps Bren in MPL PH S9 debut

Echo played true to their tag as the Season 9 "super team" with a dominant 2-0 sweep of Bren Esports  in the Mobile Legends: Bang  Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines on Saturday.

Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno displayed the "hunger for championship" that he mentioned in the off-season as he led the manhandling of his former team where he won one MPL championship and the M2 World Championship crown.

After a tentative early goings in Game 1, Echo finally broke through in the 11th minute with a pivotal 3-0 wipe to take control of the match.

Not even a shutdown on Jankurt Russel “Kurtzy” Matira (Vale), who was 8-0-4 at that point, in the 17th minute could stop the Echo rampage as KarlTzy's (Lancelot) triple kill spearheaded a 5-2 wipeout to go up, 1-0.

Echo played a meticulous Game 2, securing objectives early on and took down Bren in one fell swoop via a 14th minute 4-0.

KarlTzy (Yi Sun Shin) led the way with an immaculate 4-0-7 KDA.
