Hidilyn Diaz tests positive for COVID-19

Hidilyn Diaz, the first Filipino Olympic gold medalist, has tested positive for COVID-19.

In an Instagram story on Wednesday, Diaz shared the results of her positive COVID-19 RT-PCR test.

"Kahit ako po, nag-positive na po," Diaz wrote in her story, adding a call to action for everyone to stay safe.

"Ingat po tayong lahat. Magpalakas at sundin lahat ng health protocols," she added.

Earlier, the Department of Health announced that there are 32, 246 new COVID-19 cases for Wednesday, January 12.
