Blacklist's OhMyV33nus, Wise to skip MPL Philippines Season 9

Two of Blacklist International's stars will be missing the upcoming season of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines.

The Tier One Entertainment-backed team announced on Sunday that Johnmar "OhMyV33nus" Villaluna and Danerie James "Wise" Del Rosario will skip the ninth season of the league.

Tier One said the two will take a much-deserved break after a historic year for their team.

"Both the players and the management agreed that this is the perfect time to take their much-needed break that will better equip them for another run in season 10 and a chance to defend our world championship title," Blacklist International said.

Blacklist said the two players will remain under Tier One Entertainment and "they are excited to use this break to pursue personal goals and spend more quality time with their families."

OhMyV33nus is already looking forward to their break.

"I will be resting for a while this season 9 para naman mabigyan ko ng time 'yung ibang goals ko sa buhay and mag-bonggang beauty rest lang din talaga," OhMyV33nus said.

Wise, meanwhile, is looking forward to quality time with loved ones.

"Ngayon na naabot na natin pangarap nating maging world champion, oras na para magpahinga muna saglit para mas makasama ko naman family ko this season," said Wise.

In 2021 alone, VeeWise and their Blacklist teammates won MPL Philippines Seasons 7 and 8, and completed a bridesmaid finish in the Mobile Legends Southeast Asia Cup. They capped the year with a dominant performance on the global Mobile Legends scene as they took home the M3 World Championship title.
