Ribo to take a break, will skip MPL Season 9

Bren Esports player Carlito "Ribo" Ribo, Jr. on Monday announced that he will skip the next season of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines.

In a Facebook post, Ribo said he will take a break from the league.

"Pahinga muna isang season sa MPL," he wrote.

Considered as one of the best players in MPL Philippines, Ribo is a two-time MPL champion, his first with Aether Main in Season 1, and the other with Bren Esports in Season 6.

He was part of the Bren squad which won the championship in the M2 World Championship last year, and was a gold medalist in the 2019 Southeast Asian Games for national team Sibol.

Ribo's statement comes weeks after former Bren player Karl "KarlTzy" Nepomuceno announced his move to Echo. — LA, GMA News
