Sofia Frank books spot in 2022 Junior World Figure Skating Championships

Sofia Frank is off to the 2022 World Junior Championships.

The Filipino-American figure skater tallied 142.91 points to finish 13th overall in the 2021 Santa Claus Cup, which serves as a qualifier to the world championships.

Frank had a tough start, finishing 23rd in the short program event after garnering a score of 42.97.

She, however, came back in the free skate category after nailing an impressive 99.94 points to boost her overall standing.

That finish allowed Frank to quench an eight-year drought for the Philippines in sending a female figure skater to the world championship.
