Pole vaulter Natalie Uy bags bronze in Thailand tilt

Filipina-American pole vaulter Natalie Uy delivered a podium finish in the 2021 Golden Fly Series held over the weekend in Phuket, Thailand.

Uy, who won the gold medal during the country's hosting of the 2019 Southeast Asian Games, cleared 4.21 meters to forge a tie with Kristen Brown of USA but she had to settle with bronze via countback.

Holly Bradshaw of Great Britain, meanwhile, topped the tournament after clearing 4.51 meters.

"What an incredible meet here in paradise! The energy was unbelievable. Thanks @goldenflyseries2021_phuket for such an amazing experience," Uy said on Instagram.
