Philippine bowling teams bag 2 bronze medals in IBF World Championships

Team Philippines bagged two bronze medals in the recent IBF World Championships held from November 6 to 15 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The men's team of Ian Dychangco, Merwin Tan, Patrick Nuqui, and Kenneth Chua got the bronze in the team event, while Uella Marcial, Mades Arles, Norel Nuevo, and Rachelle Leon won another bronze for the women's team.
In a Facebook post, national team coach Biboy Rivera said the bronze medals are special for them.
"It has been a long time since the Philippine men and ladies teams have had a medal at the World Championships. It is extra special to have won it at the same time. Bronze feels like Gold!" he said.

South Korea won the gold while Singapore clinched the silver medal in the men's competition, with Malaysia getting the other bronze.
In the women's event, Team USA topped the competition, while Malaysia settled for second. Finland took the other bronze medal.
