RSG PH crashes out of MPL Invitational after reverse sweep loss to Indonesian champs Onic Esports

RSG Philippines failed to sustain a fiery opening game and suffered a reverse sweep loss to Indonesian champions Onic Esports, 2-1, in the Mobile Legend: Bang Bang Profesional League (MPL) Invitational 2021 quarterfinals on Friday.

With the loss, only Blacklist International remained as the Philippine representative in the tournament's final four.

RSG surprised the MPL Indonesia Season 8 champs in Game 1 as they kept the game close all throughout and managed to score a pivotal 5-3 wipe in the 17th minute that quickly gave them the opening win, 1-0.

Despite not using his signature assassin heroes, John Cedrix “Demonkite” Caranto pulled through with the jungler Paquito pick and finished with a 4-3-5 KDA.

Rookie Eman ‘EMANN’ Sangco (Natan) on the other hand was instrumental in the 17th minute clash where he finished off two Onic rivals to complete the wipeout and take the game. He had a 3-1-9 KDA.

The Indonesian champions though made sure that they wouldn't go down easily as they came back strong in Game 2 en route to an easy 13th minute minute conquest for the equalizer, 1-1.

Onic brought in Sanz "S A N Z" Gilang for Game 2 and he responded to the call up superbly by finishing with a 5-0-1 KDA on the jungler Paquito.

The Indonesian powerhouse continued with their rampage in Game 3 and quickly scored a 4-0 kill lead by the 3rd minute courtesy of Adriand Larsen “Drian” Wong's (Natan) 3-0-1 KDA.

It looked like an RSG comeback was on the way when they successfully fended off a base turret aggression in the 15th minute but they failed to check Drian in the ensuing clash that led to a wipe out, 2-1.
