Nexplay EVOS bows out of MPL Invitational after falling to Rebellion Genflix
Nexplay EVOS sorely missed the prowess of their two mainstays after suffering a 2-0 sweep at the hands of Indonesia's Rebellion Genflix in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Profesional League (MPL) Invitational 2021 on Wednesday.
Without prominent members John Paul "H2wo" Salonga and Renejay "Renejay" Barcase, 15-year-old Sanford "Sanford" Vinuya and Ken Louie "Kzen" Pile stepped up to the plate for Nexplay.
RBG opted for an early game aggressive draft taking Rafaela, Ruby, and Kaja which proved effective as they flexed their muscles right away, taking the first lord of the match after a 2-1 exchange in the 9th minute.
It was theirs for the taking from there, culminating in a 5-2 wipeout in the 17th minute to complete the dominating win with a 19-10 kill spread, 1-0.
Game 2 was close early to mid game until RBG scored a 3-0 wipe in the 9th minute that led to a 10th minute lord take, but NXPE executed a 4-1 takedown in the ensuing defensive stand to establish some breathing room.
RBG is not to be outdone, however, as they scored another 3-0 take down in the 14th minute which finally finished off the Philippine representatives.
