Team Philippines bags medals in World Taekwondo Online Poomsae Open Challenge III
Several members of the Philippine national taekwondo team landed on the podium of the World Taekwondo Online Poomsae Open Challenge III held from September 27 to October 31, 2021.
Angelica Gaw was the lone gold medalist in the event after reigning supreme in the Under 30 division of the open individual category with a score of 7.650. Coming in second was Thailand's Phenkanya Phaisankiattikun, with South Korea's A Ra Cho settling for third.
Jun Ninobla landed in second place in the Under 60 division of the men's national team individual category with a score of 7.470.
Justin Kobe Macario also finished second in the Over 17 division of the men's national team freestyle category.
The pair of Vincent Gabriel Rodriguez and Paul Anthony Rodriguez placed second in the sibling division of the family pair category.
Meanwhile, Janna Dominique Oliva settled for third in the Over 17 women's national team freestyle category.
The World Taekwondo Online Poomsae Open Challenge III is a virtual competition where athletes submit online videos of their poomsae performances as entries to the tournament.
